About
I am Chris, an aerial cinematographer that can add some extra dynamic aerial footage to your shoot. I grew up scuba diving off the Isle of Man and was often at the other end of my dad’s underwater camera or holding a slave flash. Later I started taking stills when I bought an old 4x4 and drove 25,000km through Africa. Some of the images were used by the BBC. This laid a foundation and joy of photographing wildlife and taking sequence shots.
When multirotor platforms were developed I became really interested in the potential for filming unique angles and dynamic shots. My engineering background allows me to bring some practical geekery to a shoot with building rigs that can make a difference to projects.
I climb (mostly winter but also rock), kitesurf and paraglide so for any shoots with an outdoor nature I will also add value, including location finding for the Isle of Man and Scotland.
The regulation part:
UK / IOM CAA (PfCO) certified (through NATS training) for undertaking commercial aerial work, ensuring the highest standards for operations and safety.
£5m public liability insurance.
I have & will be able to obtain permission for aerial work in other countries.
Some of my aerial work has been shown on commercials, feature films and marketing platforms for the following:
